How to transfer files from Android to Mac
Connect Chrome on Android to Safari, Chrome, or Firefox on your Mac with a one-time invitation.
Step by step
- Choose a file on Android Open the guest transfer page in your Android browser and select one file up to 100 MB.
- Share the private invitation Copy the one-time link, show its QR code, or use the six-character code displayed by moc.
- Join from your Mac Open the invitation in a modern Mac browser. The receiver sees the file name and size before accepting.
- Start the download Choose Download on the Mac. Keep both browser tabs open until the progress reaches 100%.
Questions
- Will the file appear in Finder?
- Yes. After your browser downloads the file, you can open it from the browser download list or the Downloads folder in Finder.
- Can I send photos and videos?
- Yes, as long as the selected file is within the 100 MB guest transfer limit supported by the page.
- Does the file go into cloud storage?
- No permanent cloud copy is created. moc attempts a direct browser-to-browser transfer and may use an encrypted live relay when required by the networks.
